4 Mindset Hacks I Use for Business

By

I’ve shared a lot on this blog about the power of mindset when it comes to growth – whether in life, business, or wealth. We’ve explored how neuroplasticity allows your brain to adapt and rewire, and how that directly supports personal evolution. I’ve emphasized the importance of setting clear goals, staying forward – focused, and paying close attention to the language you use in the beliefs you hold – because they shape your reality more than you might realize

And now, I want to take this conversation even deeper.

According to neuroscientist, Emily McDonald (@emonthebrain on Instagram), science shows that you need to be extreme in order to be successful. She explains the following:

1. Extreme goals boost neuroplasticity.
Your brain doesn’t change through casual effort. It rewires through obsession — intense repetition with strong emotion.

2. Extreme goals boost dopamine.
Dopamine is not just about pleasure. It fuels motivation, drive, and mental energy — exactly what you need to push through when others quit.

3. Extreme goals reprogram your Reticular Activating System (RAS).
Your brain literally filters reality to prioritize the people, opportunities, and resources aligned with your obsession. You start seeing what you need to succeed.

My Mindset Hacks

These mindset tools aren’t just something I dabble in — they’re part of my daily practice, and they’ve played a massive role in my business growth and clarity. Here’s what I consistently come back to:

1. Morning Mindset Priming

My morning routine is non-negotiable — it sets the tone for my entire day. The moment I wake up, I tell myself it’s going to be an amazing day. Before even getting out of bed, I repeat a few affirmations and visualize my biggest goals. I’m intentionally using my brain’s theta state (the deeply relaxed state between sleep and waking) to impress these thoughts onto my subconscious mind. It’s like planting seeds before the noise of the day begins.

2. Affirmation Rants

This might sound a little intense — and that’s the point. I don’t just say affirmations, I own them. Morning, midday, and evening, I go on what I call “affirmation rants.” I speak them out loud with energy and conviction. It’s not just about positive thinking — it’s a method for rewiring my brain to stay focused on opportunities, ideas, and aligned actions that move me toward my goals.

3. Meditation

Meditation helps me reconnect to my intuition and stay grounded in the present moment — especially when things get noisy. Beyond calming the nervous system, meditation puts me back into that theta state where subconscious reprogramming is possible. It helps me stay balanced, focused, and receptive to inspired action.

4. Hypnosis + EFT Tapping

When I hit a mental wall or feel old limiting beliefs creeping in, I turn to hypnosis or EFT tapping. These tools have been game changers for working through subconscious blocks. Two of my favorite resources are Anthony Serino, who offers guided hypnosis (available through his app), and Brad Yates, known for his powerful tapping sequences. Both have content on YouTube if you want to test them out.

Why does this work? When you’re chasing big, bold goals, your nervous system might interpret them as unsafe. That can show up as procrastination, decision fatigue, anxiety, or even physical tension. Hypnosis and tapping help regulate those responses and clear the stories that no longer serve you — so you can move forward with confidence.

5. Bonus: The People I Surround Myself With

What’s really important to me is to stay functioning and thinking FOR my goals and for what’s most important to me. That being said, I am selective about who I choose to spend time with and who I engage with when it comes to business. Having constructive conversations and feedback are fantastic. I’m all for it. If you’re not here to support me and your general language is negative and glass half empty, I’ll limit my exposure.

My energy is expensive (and so is yours). I choose how to spend it. ✨

Final Thoughts

I’m diligent about my mindset routine because it works. Morning, midday, and evening — I’m doing something to stay aligned, balanced, and focused. It’s not just a wellness habit — it’s a performance strategy. These practices keep me from burning out, help me access creativity, and support me in showing up fully for my goals.

A few tips to get started:

  • Identify your limiting beliefs and challenge them early — You’ll be ahead of the game before you even begin.
  • Experiment and find what works for you — There are lots of tools out there; go with the ones that resonate.
  • Stay consistent — It takes time, intention, and repetition to rewire your brain and shift long-standing beliefs.
  • Track your progress — I do this daily. It’s powerful to reflect on how far you’ve come and what shifts are taking place.
